Infographics are taking over the Internet these days. They’re used for everything from marketing to telling jokes and raising awareness of political and environmental issues. Some people love them because of their ability to convey powerful messages in an easy to digest format. Many other people hate them because some of the more frequently forwarded ones lack citations, and detract from more serious journalism.
There are a lot of good marketing infographics out there, however. Here are a few of the most interesting ones:
The QR code is, just like infographics, one of those love-them-or-hate-them forms of marketing. This infographic shows where they came from, which brands use them, and how often thy’re scanned.

LinkedIn has 100 Million members – what do those members do? Where do they come from? What do they talk about? Which jobs are most prevalent on the site? This infographic answers all those questions, and more. Whether you’re a LinkedIn user yourself, or prefer to do your networking on more specialist websites, you may find some of the demographic information in here enlightening.
Bulk SMS isn’t the only way to reach smartphone owners. Mobile email marketing is becoming increasingly popular and effective. This infographic highlights both the benefits and the downsides of mobile email marketing. Did you know that only 20% of smartphone owners feel that mobile email is as easy to use as desktop email? It looks like smartphones have a long way to go to become the device of choice for every possible use.
Hopefully, your business SMS marketing is done in a way that doesn’t annoy your customers. However, there are a lot of companies that do use bulk SMS in the wrong way. Even big, reputable brands such as Burger King and Simon and Schuster aren’t immune to the ire of consumers that receive unwanted messages, as this infographic explains.
