Link Farm Example

A link farm is a particular page (web page) that has over fifty or one hundred unrelated links on it. The primary objective of a link farm is to secure search engine rankings. In link farm example, links on such web page (link farm) point to poor or low quality sites. Most search engines including Google and others consider link farm to be unethical, as such they do not accept them. That is why link farm in most cases gets a Google page rank of  0.

Because of several unrelated links on its link page, search engines see link farm as a low quality and flagged it as being risky. So any site that directly link to link farm or through websites that link to it will certainly be disvalued and possibly lose rankings and be banned from the index.

Let’s check this link farm example;

Let’s say site H is a link farm,
Site A directly links to site H (link farm)
A => H (link farm)
A is affected
Or
Site A links to site B and B links to H (link farm)
A => B => H (link farm)
A (infected) => B (affected) => H (link farm)
Site A and B are both affected.
The basic rule of the game is to only link to websites that related to your sites and not shady ones like Site B in the above link farm example.
